This specific work depicts the scenic area of Ōji, a location known for its natural beauty and the Shakujii River. Hiroshige employs a vertical composition to capture the steep, verdant cliffs that define the riverbank, contrasting the sharp verticality of the rock face with the gentle curve of the wooden bridge spanning the water.

The print features a small waterfall cascading into the river, where figures are depicted resting near a pavilion. The colour palette relies on deep greens for the foliage, earthy ochres for the rock formations, and varied blues for the water and sky. The sky transitions from a pale horizon to a darker tone at the top, a technique known as bokashi, which provides a sense of atmospheric depth.
