Beskrivning
Smoo’s sea cave opens beneath pale cliffs, drawing the eye towards the water and the narrow beach below where water meets the sandy inlet.
The cave mouth cuts into a high limestone cliff, with a stream running towards the sea across the sandy shore. A footbridge spans the water near the entrance, while green grass clings to the upper rock. The surrounding cliffs curve around the inlet and shelter the beach. Smoo Cave is the defining feature of the scene, set against the blue water and open Highland sky.
For visitors who have approached the cave from the path above, the view brings together the cliff edge, stream and sheltered shore. The bridge sits just before the dark opening in the rock.
