Warm light picks out Slieve Donard in County Down beyond layered Mourne ridges, while broad granite slabs and gold grasses give the open mountain view a strong, rugged foreground.
Slieve Donard belongs to the Mourne Mountains in County Down, Northern Ireland. From Slieve Binnian, the outlook crosses a succession of rocky summits towards the mountain. Exposed granite and open upland slopes define this high view across the range.
Large pale boulders occupy the lower right, their fractured surfaces catching amber light. Smaller blocks rise through golden grass on the left. Beyond them, purple gullies separate steep hill shoulders, leading towards the distinct summit in the distance. Peach cloud banks fill the sky, with cooler mauve shadows settling between the ridges.
