Beskrivning
Sgùrr Bàn in Highland Fisherfield carries a broad snowy shoulder above a green mountain hollow, with a winding blue burn and distant pointed peaks under cream clouds in early summer sunshine.
This 989 metre Munro stands in the remote Fisherfield Forest mountain country. Routes reach it from Shenavall bothy or by the slabs above Loch a’ Bhraoin. Another long approach begins at Kinlochewe, passing Loch Fhada and crossing Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair on the outward and return journeys.
Sgùrr Bàn fills the right side with a broad rounded shoulder, its upper slopes still heavily streaked with snow. Across the green hollow, a broken pointed skyline rises beyond a darker ridge. A slender blue burn winds towards turquoise water in the middle distance. Bright clouds and patches of fresh grass beneath the remaining snow suggest early summer high in the mountains.
