Beskrivning
River Yare in Norfolk reflects an orange sunset around moored boats, with slender trees silhouetted along the opposite bank and dark reeds edging the still water in front.
This river rises west of Shipdham and passes the southern side of Norwich before continuing east through the Broads. Its navigable lower reaches connect the city with Breydon Water and the North Sea at Great Yarmouth, following a longstanding route for waterborne trade.
Across the River Yare, white cabin boats sit below a row of tall, lightly leafed trees. Their dark branches and pale hulls mirror almost perfectly in the calm surface. A low sun shines between the trunks, colouring the clouds gold, rose and purple. Reeds frame the nearest corner, suggesting a quiet evening towards the close of summer.
