Beskrivning
River Wye winds through a green valley in this elevated view, its long curve lending the scene a peaceful, spacious mood, the river leads through the green valley.
The water sweeps from the lower edge towards a distant bend. Tree-covered slopes follow both banks, while lighter fields break through the woodland higher up. A pale blue sky and soft clouds sit above the layered hills. The river surface reflects the wooded banks in a long band of blue and green.
The shape of River Wye is central to the view, connecting the near water with the hills beyond. Those who know the valley may recognise how the river’s bends reveal one section at a time. The river’s changing direction is the main feature of River Wye here.
