Beskrivning
River Tummel in Perthshire rushes blue and white between leafy green banks, with pale waterside boulders and distant hills beneath cream clouds in bright summer afternoon light.
River Tummel belongs to the Tay catchment and carries water east from Loch Rannoch through a chain of connected lochs. It is the Tay’s largest tributary, joining the main river below Logierait. The surrounding valley also forms part of a substantial hydroelectric system developed around its natural waterways.
White rapids spread across deep blue water as the river narrows between dense green trees. Pale angular boulders interrupt the left bank, while leafy branches reach over the darker right margin. Tall conifers rise behind the broadleaf canopy below a low blue hill. Cream clouds leave bright openings overhead, suggesting a sunny summer afternoon beside the fast flowing channel.
