Beskrivning
Presteigne in Powys looks across a stone bridge and reflective river, with autumn trees, pale houses and softly layered hills beneath the pink and gold warmth of evening cloud.
Standing on the southern bank of the Lugg, this Welsh border town was formerly the county town of Radnorshire. Its history as an administrative and judicial centre survives in the Shire Hall, while nearby hills and villages place it firmly within the Marches.
Three broad arches span dark water at Presteigne, their stone parapet backed by pale houses among trees. Copper, red and green foliage gathers around the bridge and reflects in the river below. The nearest bank remains in grassy shade. Gold light along the cloud and a pink upper sky suggest an autumn evening, with distant hills fading into softer tones.
