Beskrivning
Polldubh Falls in Highland Glen Nevis pours white water through a rocky wooded gorge, with leafy branches and pale mountain slopes surrounding the forceful cascade in soft summer light.
Polldubh Falls belongs to the middle reaches of the River Nevis, near Achriabhach in Glen Nevis. Also known as the Lower Falls, the drop lies below the road bridge. Riverside walking routes approach through woodland from the visitor centre, with forestry tracks providing a return along the glen.
White foam fills the centre as several channels spill between large purple grey rocks and merge in a dark pool. Green moss rests on the ledges, while broadleaf branches lean over the water from the left. Farther upstream, dense trees frame a pale blue mountain shoulder. Full foliage and broken cream clouds suggest a mild summer interval above the rushing gorge.
