Beskrivning
Pett Level’s shingle shore opens towards blue water, where lines of timber defences lead the eye beneath a wooded cliff and a sky filled with broad, pale clouds.
Pett Level faces the sea below a low, wooded cliff on the East Sussex coast. Its shingle beach is crossed by timber groynes, while short concrete posts mark the shore beside a raised coastal path. The beach draws into a narrow curve beneath the cliff.
Broad cloud shapes edged with cream occupy most of the sky. Warm bands of pebbles sweep across the foreground, interrupted by dark shadows from the squat posts. A pale wall and slim railing follow the right edge, with small yellow flowers breaking through the greenery beside them.
