Unlike the later, more famous landscape series by Utagawa Hiroshige, Hokusai's interpretation of the Tokaido stations often incorporates human interaction and domestic detail. Katsushika Hokusai
Katsushika Hokusai was a visionary Japanese artist whose influence stretched far beyond his lifetime.
