Beskrivning
Morvern in Highland Lochaber faces dark blue coastal water from a rocky heather bank, with wooded green hills and purple moorland folds beneath a wide, lightly clouded late summer sky.
Morvern is a peninsula on Scotland’s west coast, south of Ardgour and Sunart. Loch Sunart bounds its northern side, Loch Linnhe lies to the southeast and the Sound of Mull to the southwest. Lochaline is its main village, with the surrounding district extending through wooded glens and coastal hills.
Pale rounded rocks descend through pink heather towards the rippled blue inlet. On the opposite shore, green pasture opens between leafy tree belts below a dark conifer ridge. Purple brown moorland rises farther inland, with low hills receding towards the left. Large blue spaces between white cloud banks give the coastal water and flowering near slope a bright late summer atmosphere.
