Beskrivning
Kinlochewe in Highland Wester Ross looks across blue loch water towards a great grey mountain wall, with grassy islets, pale shingle and dark shore pines under a softly clouded spring sky.
Kinlochewe stands near the head of Loch Maree, at the junction of routes towards Ullapool and Torridon. Loch Clair lies south of the village, with Liathach rising beyond its shore. The settlement’s name preserves an older name for Loch Maree, once also called Loch Ewe.
Low grassy points divide the near water into narrow channels, with a pale shingle spit entering from the right. A small group of pines occupies the opposite left shore. Beyond, a broad rocky mountain rises in grey terraces, carrying small white snow patches near its upper ridge. Russet shrubs frame the foreground, while cool blue reflections and thin clouds suggest a clear spring day.
