Beskrivning
King's College in Aberdeen presents its crown-topped tower above a sunlit lawn, with pale stone arches, patterned windows and leafy shadows across the quiet approach beneath a blue summer sky.
Part of the university's historic Old Aberdeen setting, this college retains a chapel among its earliest surviving buildings. The closed imperial crown above the tower expressed the authority of the Scottish king, while later additions developed around the older quadrangle and its original building lines.
At King's College, curved stone ribs rise above the square tower to a small central lantern. A round clock sits below, over tall pointed windows. Pale paths cross clipped lawns towards an open archway on the right. Green branches frame the upper left, and long leaf shadows suggest warm sunshine during a quiet summer afternoon.
