Beskrivning
Grassholm off Pembrokeshire glows as a low golden island in purple sea, with jagged rock edges, white surf and a broad sunset reflection stretching towards the horizon of the Welsh coast.
Grassholm is a small rocky island west of the Pembrokeshire coast, internationally important for breeding northern gannets. Birds return each spring after wintering farther south. The surrounding seas provide feeding grounds, while the exposed cliffs and rocky slopes support the island’s crowded seabird colony.
The elevated view isolates a low island against open water, its rough grassy surface coloured gold by the setting sun. Dark rock shelves break into separate outliers around the edges, each traced by pale foam. A wide path of orange reflection crosses the purple sea at the right. Peach clouds and a low sun create a quiet, warm evening atmosphere.
