Beskrivning
The dark crag above Fairy Glen, Skye rises from a green knoll, overlooking rounded hollows and small pools where curling earth tracks cross the close cropped grass.
Near Uig, this miniature landscape took shape through landslides followed by glaciation, which softened the displaced ground into grassy cones. Paths weave around small lochans towards Castle Ewan, the rocky tower that stands above a hollow among the hillocks.
In Fairy Glen, Skye, the crag has a blunt, broken summit and shadowed sides. Below it, concentric brown rings circle a stony patch in the turf. Narrow paths climb the adjacent slopes, while scattered boulders and tiny pools fill the lower ground. A distant opening on the left leads towards blue water under soft white clouds.
