Beskrivning
The Peace Bridge sweeps across the River Foyle in Derry, its slender white supports leading towards a skyline of church spires, warm roofs and a prominent red brick clocktower.
Cables fan down from leaning pylons and leave fine reflections on the blue surface below. Trees form a leafy line along the far bank. Nearer to the viewer, branching park paths cross an open lawn, while a broad green ridge rises behind the tightly grouped buildings under a broad clear sky.
Derry is seen here through the connection between its river and its hillside streets. The wide foreground gives the city room to unfold, making this an appealing choice for anyone attached to the Foyle and the landmarks that gather above its banks.
