Beskrivning
Crinan gathers white yachts beside stone quays, their slender masts rising above turquoise reflections as lock rails cross the basin beneath the hotel and a green wooded slope.
At the western terminus of its namesake canal, this Argyll and Bute harbour opens onto a sea loch. The sea lock marks the passage between inland navigation and the coast, with the village's hotel overlooking the waterfront.
Crinan has a broad pool of blue green water here, catching long broken reflections of the pale buildings opposite. A white hull sits close to the right edge, its warm brown mast reaching high into the clear sky. Smaller craft cluster behind it. Across the water, white railings follow the stonework towards a low control hut, while a red roof adds warmth below the trees.
