Beskrivning
Camasunary on southern Skye gathers a pale sweep of sand, a solitary white cottage and jagged ridges into an expansive Highland scene warmed by a peach evening sky.
Camasunary occupies a bay on the Strathaird peninsula in Scotland. Its Gaelic name means Bay of the White Shieling, recalling the summer grazing settlements of the island. Walkers come here for the bothy and access to the mountains of the Cuillin.
A narrow stream twists through golden green grass towards the curving beach, with the little house set well back from the water. Dark rocky shoulders rise behind it, giving way to a more distant serrated skyline. Peach and lavender clouds fill the upper view, while soft reflections along the sheltered shore suggest the last warmth of a clear summer evening.
