Beskrivning
Butley’s quiet water catches the evening sky, while a simple wooden landing draws the eye into the Suffolk creek in this illustrated view in this illustrated view.
A narrow jetty extends from the near bank over still water, with small posts marking its edge. Trees and low vegetation line the far shore. The sky shifts through peach and blue, reflected across the creek. A few reeds and grasses frame the foreground, while the open water leaves the landing as the main point of approach.
Butley lies within Suffolk’s creek country, where small landings meet quiet tidal water. The wooden structure gives this view a human scale, while the trees keep the far bank low and sheltered. Anyone who knows the area may recognise the unhurried character of its waterways and the soft evening light along the creek.
