Beinn na Lap near Corrour in Highland looks across bright blue water towards a broad green summit, where wooded islands and pale shoreline strips give the mountain outlook gentle depth.
Above the northern side of Loch Ossian, this rounded Grampian Munro reaches 935 metres. The usual approach from Corrour railway station is relatively short, making the mountain closely associated with journeys on the West Highland Line into this remote inland landscape.
The Beinn na Lap scene spreads across several blue reaches of water separated by low green points. Dark conifers gather on the nearer islands and banks, while a broad rounded hill fills the background beneath cream clouds. Pale rocks and soft olive vegetation occupy the descending foreground. Fresh green slopes and bright reflections suggest a clear summer day, with only slight ripples breaking the open water.
