Beskrivning
Beinn Iadain in Highland Morvern rises in stepped rocky tiers above blue water, with green slopes and a winding burn leading towards its long basalt escarpment in clear summer light.
Beinn Iadain stands in the Morvern peninsula of Lochaber. Its basalt summit belongs to a protected site shared with Beinn na h-Uamha, recognised for its geology and upland vegetation. The rock succession includes older sedimentary beds beneath volcanic lavas, helping to explain the hill’s distinctive terraced profile.
A long banded crag sweeps down from a high crown on the left towards a lower spur at right. Green gullies divide the purple grey ledges. Below, a slender burn winds through open moor towards a broad blue loch, fringed by dark trees. Heather and large stones occupy the near slope, while bright white clouds leave much of the summer hillside sunlit.
