Beskrivning
A wide stretch of water opens across Beaumont, giving this low-lying Cumbrian scene a quiet, expansive mood beneath the low hills on the far side.
Shallow water spreads through the foreground towards a green bank and scattered trees. Beyond it, a pale group of buildings stands among the fields, backed by distant low hills beneath a clouded sky. A dark branch frames the left side, while the water reflects the muted light. Beaumont is seen across open ground, with the broad wetland and settlement sharing the view.
For people familiar with this part of Cumbria, the mix of water, pasture and distant buildings may recall the changing edges of the flat ground. The reflections lead towards the far bank.
