Beskrivning
Aldbury lends a favourite Hertfordshire village a restful waterside presence, with familiar houses reflected beneath leafy shelter for a home that values the quieter corners of country life.
Dark beams divide pale brick panels in the tall gable on the right, framing white leaded windows. Across the pool, a broad tree spreads above short turf and clipped hedges. A square church tower rises between the crowns, with a slim chimney and a pink flowering tree nearby.
Water gives Aldbury's village setting a second set of shapes, lengthening the gable and tower into loose vertical reflections. The low grassy banks keep the viewpoint close to the houses while leaving plenty of space around them. A connection to village walks can settle here through the small details often missed in passing, from the window lattice to the reeds at the edge of the pool.
