Beschrijving
Yorkshire is presented through rolling green country, with a flowering hillside looking across fields and a wooded valley, the view opens beyond the flowering slope.
The near slope drops towards dense trees, then rises through a patchwork of fields. Scattered pale blossoms mark the foreground, while low ridges continue towards the horizon. A broad sky carries soft clouds above the distant countryside. The slope and its flowering plants occupy the foreground, with the fields laid out behind them in irregular blocks.
This view of Yorkshire rests on the relationship between high ground and the fields below. Those familiar with the county may recognise the open outlook and the wooded folds separating one stretch of countryside from another. The layered fields give Yorkshire a familiar agricultural pattern, while the flowering slope adds a closer detail.
