Beschrijving
River Bran in Highland Strath Bran curves through gold grass beside dark pines, with a bare riverside tree and distant purple hills beneath glowing clouds on a calm autumn evening.
River Bran begins at the eastern end of Loch a’ Chroisg near Achnasheen and flows through the widening valley of Strath Bran. Its waters pass through Loch Achanalt and Loch a’ Chuilinn before reaching Loch Luichart. The river forms part of the wider Conon catchment draining towards the Cromarty Firth.
A leafless tree leans over the near bend, its dark trunk reflected in lavender water. Tall pines rise from the left slope above gold grass, while a pale cottage stands beside the road on the opposite bank. Dark fence posts follow the channel towards the open valley. Warm pink and orange clouds suggest a still autumn evening below the distant rounded hills.
