Beschrijving
Llandovery’s stone Drovers Fountain and its cross anchor Carmarthenshire’s open market square, while the pale Market Hall lends the scene a clear civic character for anyone drawn to Welsh town life.
The fountain’s wide bowl rises above a stepped stone base, with low bollards tracing the open paving around it. Close-set pink and pale façades line one side of the square, their upper windows and hanging flower baskets drawing colour along the street. Across from them, the Market Hall’s empty arches create a strong shadow beneath its light stone face.
In Llandovery, the scene balances formal civic stonework with the familiar character of flowered commercial frontages. Its mix of close detail and open paving suits people who value Welsh market towns and the architecture that gives each one its own character.
