Beschrijving
Hebden Bridge fills a wooded valley with closely packed stone terraces, their warm roofs stepping across the hillside above a rocky, heather coloured foreground in the light of an evening sky.
Hebden Bridge is seen within the folded landscape of Calderdale, where the town and its wooded surroundings remain closely interwoven. Open fields continue above the roofs towards a line of distant hills. Warm cream stone and rose coloured clouds brighten the lower valley, while deeper green bands of trees show how sharply the ground rises around the settlement.
Long rows of pale windows follow the changing slope. Taller stone buildings gather near the centre, while smaller terraces climb into trees on the right. Rounded woodland crowns break up the dense pattern of roofs, and a few large boulders sit among purple heather on the near hillside.
