Beschrijving
Chno Dearg in Highland Lochaber rises beyond a blue upland lochan, with broad green slopes, pale rock patches and distant mountain tops spreading beneath a clear summer sky.
Chno Dearg belongs to the Lochaber mountain group east of Loch Treig and south of Glen Spean. Its rounded high ground contrasts with neighbouring Stob Coire Sgriodain. Water draining these slopes eventually reaches the River Spean, which carries it west towards the sea.
A long blue lochan occupies the hollow below a gently rounded summit, its irregular shore edged by narrow tan strips. Grey rock patches break the broad green shoulder beyond. Nearer the viewpoint, pale boulders emerge from dark heather and coarse grass. Layered blue peaks extend along the left horizon, while tall white clouds and bare upper slopes suggest a fine day in summer.
