Beschrijving
Bynack More in the Highlands gives weathered granite a sculptural presence, with tall fractured tors above a sea of cloud and snow marked Cairngorm ridges in crisp spring light.
Bynack More stands in the Cairngorms roughly 16 kilometres east southeast of Aviemore. The mountain’s plateau is distinguished by large granite tors, including the Barns of Bynack. These exposed rock masses are among the most striking examples of the weathered summit forms found across the range.
A tall tilted slab dominates the near slope, split into broad blocks by deep dark cracks. Smaller upright rocks stand behind it, surrounded by short yellow green grass and scattered stones. Beyond, low white cloud fills the glens beneath distant blue mountains streaked with snow. The contrast between the sunlit granite and cool mist makes the high spring air feel particularly clear.
