Beschrijving
Amber Valley spreads across green fields and wooded folds, with a calm, pastoral mood shaped by its patchwork of hills Hedgerows cross the rolling fields.
Long hedgerows divide the foreground into broad green fields, and scattered trees follow the field edges. The land rises and falls towards a small cluster of pale buildings in the middle distance. Rounded wooded slopes overlap along the horizon beneath a bright sky. Cloud shadows add variation to the fields, while the open foreground makes the pattern of boundaries easy to follow.
The view of Amber Valley is defined by the changing height of its fields and the small settlements between them. The nearest hedges lead towards the houses, then the hills continue beyond. For residents or visitors travelling through Derbyshire, this familiar patchwork of pasture and tree-lined slopes gives the valley its local character.
