Whixall is a village in Shropshire, England. A pond lies beside the road on its outskirts, edged by mature trees and a narrow grassy verge. Low fields extend behind the water, giving this corner of the village an open rural setting.
Branching shadows stretch across the pale road as it bends away to the left. The pond reflects a blue opening between the trees. Golden stems line its near bank, with darker foliage crowding the water on the right. Beyond the far shore, a low field fence crosses a sunlit patch of grass beneath the clouded sky.
