Beschreibung
White cascades break against the river’s stepped ledges, while moored boats, clustered rooftops and a slender spire give this River Exe view its lively Exeter character.
Trew's Weir crosses the foreground, where water spills over the stepped edge into the lower channel. Beyond it, boats rest on quieter water below the quay. Roofs and trees rise behind the riverfront, with a tall, narrow spire near the centre and long white clouds crossing a blue sky.
The weir, quay and central spire make this a distinctively Exeter stretch of River Exe, set in Devon. Its contrast between moving water and roofs set close together gives the river a strong local presence for people with ties to the area.
