Beschreibung
Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire rises beyond green farmland and golden harvest fields, with round hay bales, dark wooded boundaries and broad blue ridges beneath the white clouds of late summer.
The Preseli Hills form Pembrokeshire’s highest uplands, with rugged moorland and wet ground above the surrounding farms. Their rocks include ancient slate with outcrops of rhyolite and dolerite. Prehistoric remains such as Bedd Arthur and hilltop enclosures add to the area’s archaeological interest.
A large cylindrical bale sits close on the right, its rough gold surface lit above a deep shadow. More bales punctuate the mown field behind, where green and yellow swathes run towards a belt of trees. Hedged pastures lead to the broad blue-green hills beyond. High white clouds and dry grass suggest the bright days of late-summer harvest.
