Beschreibung
Lutterworth gathers Leicestershire's historic town life around a church and timber-framed houses, with green lawn and summer flowers bringing warm colour to the street beneath a slender spire.
In Leicestershire, Lutterworth is associated with John Wycliffe, the medieval Bible translator who worked in the town. Its later history includes Frank Whittle's development of the jet engine, giving this small settlement connections to both religious reform and a major change in aviation.
A tall stone spire rises to the left of a long yellow-and-black timbered house. White cottages recede between them, with red chimneys above dark slate roofs. A green lawn and red-and-white flowers occupy the foreground beneath a leafy canopy. Clear blue sky and full leaves suggest summer. Warm daylight catches the façades while the near grass carries broad, cool shadows.
