Beschreibung
Kintore in Aberdeenshire offers a tranquil riverside outlook, where pale houses and grey roofs meet blue reflections, green reeds and hazy ridges beneath a softly clouded sky.
Near Inverurie, this former royal burgh occupies a position on the banks of the Don. Its civic history is reflected in the Town House, commissioned in 1737 and completed in 1747, while the river follows the floodplain beside the town.
Here Kintore appears as a line of pale cottages and grey roofs above calm reflective water. A larger stone house stands near the centre, with chimneys breaking the low skyline. Green reeds and warm yellow grass edge the foreground, and distant blue hills appear beyond a tall tree on the left. The full foliage suggests summer in soft afternoon light.
