Beschreibung
Heacham in Norfolk follows a long sandy bay past pale cottages and a distant church, with dark shoreline rocks and gold-green grasses overlooking calm blue water under summer clouds.
Overlooking the Wash, this West Norfolk village lies between King's Lynn and Hunstanton. It developed as a seaside resort after the railway arrived in the early 1860s, and its west-facing beaches are among the eastern English shores where the sun can set over the sea.
At Heacham, a broad sweep of gold sand curves towards pale houses and a square church tower among trees. Thin white surf edges the calm blue bay. Large grey boulders fill the nearest bank, with grass growing between them. Low coastal slopes recede into haze beneath tall white clouds, suggesting an unhurried afternoon at the end of summer.
