Beschreibung
Glas Maol rises on the Angus boundary near Glenshee, a broad topped Munro whose high slopes and neighbouring ridges form an extensive mountain landscape above one of Scotland's highest passes.
The mountain reaches 1,068 metres, making it the highest point in Angus. Its broad summit meets the boundaries of Aberdeenshire and Perth and Kinross, while the western slopes form part of the Glenshee ski area above the Cairnwell Pass approach.
Glas Maol appears beyond a deep valley, its rounded upper slopes streaked with white snow. Green and grey hillsides overlap around a narrow pale road that winds along the floor. Brown heather and scattered stones occupy the near bank. The patchy snow and returning greens suggest spring, with bright blue sky and cream clouds lighting the open mountain ground.
