Beschreibung
Angus Glens extend north from Scotland's eastern farmland towards the Grampians, where river valleys, mountain corries and wooded slopes reveal the varied ground between Strathmore and the high country.
Five main valleys form this Highland district: Isla, Prosen, Clova, Lethnot and Esk. Each carries its own river system through the uplands, with glacial hollows particularly evident around Clova and Glen Doll, and lower ground linking the mountains with the agricultural straths.
The Angus Glens scene follows a bright blue burn towards a single arch stone bridge. Pale trunked trees frame the left edge, opposite golden grass and rust coloured scrub. Snow caps the broad hills behind the valley. Fresh leaves beside lingering white slopes suggest spring, with clear sunlight picking out stones in the water and the bridge masonry.
